Film poster photos

I went back to Beamish to shoot photos for my poster, these were some of the shots I got.

I deided I am not going to use this image and I don't like he angle of it and I think the lighting is too bright and harsh.

I liked this shot as when researching into different horror posters it was very popular and common to have a close up shot as the image. I also lied how the knife was the main focus in this shot and  thought that the lighting was good.

When looking back at this image I liked the lighting however I did not like the positioning of the knife in this photo.

I liked this image as I thought that the long shot would add a sense of mystery to the poster and how the whole of the background was in the shot.

Development of my poster

When researching different posters I noticed they all had the same tall, thin text font for the credits. I went on Dafonts to get the font which I thought resembled this the most, for this I chose the font 'st moviehead.' I changed the background to white for the time being so I could seethe text I was adding more clearly. I then added the movie release date, a quote and 'Inspired by true events' on my poster. I added this as telling the audience it is inspired true events draws them in to watch the movie.

Development of my poster

I started to create the poster to go with my trailer. I started off by getting a font to use for my film title' Mayfield Manor' which I found on 1001 Fonts. I copied the font onto my poster and changed the colour to red. Red is a colour stereotypically used in horror trailers and films as it represents danger which is why I used this colour for my title. Next I added my slogan which I made 'Nowhere to run to. Nowhere to hide.'
