Style model

I decided to change my double page style model because I found a new one on the internet that looked better and more dramatic which I thought would fit my magazines style better. This double page article was taken from Kerrang magazine which is also a pop/rock genre of music magazine.

For my contents page style model I had originally chosen one from Q magazine however when looking at others on the internet I decided to take a few ideas from other contents pages such as:



I also used the contents page from the November 2014 'Q' magazine as the style model for the way the top banner was structured.

I later on decided to change the original style model I had for my Front cover. I found two interesting front covers from Q magazine and decided to tae ideas from each. For example in the first image I look the grey/ white gradient background and the black banner and in the second I took the way the text was set out on the page an each article being separated coloured blocks.

For my magazine's style model I used 'Q' magazine. I used this magazine because it is a music magazine which includes music of the same genre as my magazine. I also used this magazine as it is one of the most popular magazines for the pop/rock music genre.

The Beatles photo analysis

This image is set on a street road, it shows all four of the Beatles walking across a zebra crossing. The image is shown in a long shot showing all members and some of the background area. Non of the band members are looking directly at the camera and have no facial expressions. John is wearing a white suit where as all of the other members are wearing dark colors such as blacks and blues. This suggests to the audience that john is the leader as he is in contrasting colors to the rest of the group. The photo has been staged and the purpose of this image is to be on the front of their final album 'Abby road' which was released in September 1969. This is an iconic image of the Beatles.
